NOISE INDUCED HEARING LOSS Have you ever experienced ringing sensation in ears or sudden loss of hearing ability after a brief exposure to loud sound like a blast, gunfire or after attending a concert? When exposure to loud noise happens at the workplace as in a factory it is known as occupational hearing loss. Hearing loss can occur due to unsafe recreational noise exposure as when using headphones at high volume. NOSEBLEED Nose bleeding causes panic among patients and relatives, but mostly is not a serious issue. Usually it stops with proper first aid. Nasal bleeding can occur at any age. The usual causes of nose bleeding in children are  trauma and nose picking. In adults, increased blood pressure can cause spontaneous nasal bleeding. Dengue Fever- Symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Dengue fever also known as breakbone fever or Dandy fever is a viral disease occurring in tropical and subtropical areas.It is caused by dengue virus, which belongs to family Flaviviridae and is transmitted by mosquito bite. It is an endemic disease in tropical countries like India with peaks seen during rainy season.   There are 4 known serotypes of the virus named as DENV1, DENV2, DENV3 and DENV4. Infection by one serotype does not confer immunity to another type. Aedes aegypti   Symptoms of Dengue fever Common symptoms include high grade fever, headache, rash (appearing between 2nd and fifth day of fever), weakness, vomiting, muscle and joint pain.   World is going through one of the worst pandemic of the century since late 2019. Named as COVID-19 or Corona Virus Disease 2019, the infection was first reported from Wuhan city of China which then spread rapidly around the world within next few weeks. It is caused by a newly discovered strain of Corona virus named as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The virus is said to have originated from horseshoe bats.                                                                  When to suspect? Symptoms mostly appear 2 -14 days after exposure to virus. Common symptoms include   Fever,  Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose Dry cough Nausea and vomiting Diarrhea. Loss of smell Difficulty in breathing.   In severe cases patient will have severe respiratory distress, pneumonia, multiple organ failure and can   be fatal.   When to get tested? If you have symptoms seek medical attention. The health care workers can then decide whether you need to
